History and Origin:
The origins of Chicken Tikka Masala are a bit unclear, but it is believed to have been created in India or Pakistan. It is said to have been inspired by a dish called Chicken Tikka, a dish of marinated chicken grilled or roasted. Chicken Tikka Masala is said to have been created when a chef in a restaurant in the UK added a tomato-based sauce to the Chicken Tikka to make it more appealing to British customers.
